Finally started the november song. Mike has been itching with a seed that is really good. He was having trouble containing it until a session and it kept creeping into sound checks before sitting down with me to discuss the months seeds (which is against our own rules). But, it was really my turn to step up to the plate. Yes it is a drinking song, but it also it a song about squeezing the most out of life, and going for it. I will post a very rough sketch demo that I recorded on my phone. I will also discuss a first verse that mike and i wrote on speaker phone this afternoon. . . .
but now I can’t turn it off. I think the problem is I have some other more tedious work i am supposed to be doing for a project for Templeton Rye, and consequently i can’t stop working on this song. If all goes well I will have a bunch of lyrics for mike to hack to pieces tomorrow.
